FREE PATTERN

Sewing Level: Beginner, but there is some binding- but you got this!

Fabric: Wovens- Make sure your fabrics can resist heat for hot dishes.

I made size and View (if applicable): Round (Pie or Tart) or Rectangle (Casserole)

Description: Dish Carriers for your next potluck or event. Easily carry a dish with room for utensils. Only the pattern is here in the download- you'll need the video for detailed instructions. 

Yardage:

You can easily make either with a yard of fabric. Or mix up the prints using fat quarters. I also recommend an interlining to give the carrier some body- you can go as heavy as stiffener or as light as a couple layers of unwanted cotton. I like to use canvas.

Casserole (oblong)

• 26" of 1/4"-3/8" wide elastic
• Interlining like canvas or other fabric to give it some body: 1 Fat Quarter just for the Bottom
• 2 yards bias 1.375" wide or fabric to make some (a Fat Quarter is sufficient)
• 1 yard of fabric (for one dish carrier in all the same fabric, or mix it up and consider using a Fat Quarter for each pattern piece like:
• 1 Fat Quarter: Both Tops 
• 1 Fat Quarter: Exterior Bottom
• 1 Fat Quarter: Interior Bottom
• 1 Fat Quarter: Both straps
• (note: two fat quarters = 1/2 yard)
• Interfacing for Straps

Round (Pie)

• Interlining like canvas or other fabric to give it some body: 1 Fat Quarter just for the Bottom
• 2 yards bias 1.375" wide or fabric to make some (a Fat Quarter is sufficient)
• 1 yard of fabric (for one dish carrier in all the same fabric, or mix it up:
• 1/2 yard: Both Tops and Straps
• 1 Fat Quarter: Exterior Bottom
• 1 Fat Quarter: Interior Bottom
• (note: two fat quarters = 1/2 yard)
• (also note: you can get one strap and One Bottom on one Fat Quarter)
• Interfacing for Straps 

Printing: Print Actual Size- and print on cardstock if you have some! you can then trace the patterns on to the fabric.
