My mods: Slightly shorter length, no side seam, sewing the elastic on with a serger/overlock.

These are instantly a keeper pair of pants. I'll admit, the patchwork was a bit adventurous for me but I like how they turned out a lot and wore them the next two days. They aren't overly baggy so they're somewhat flattering yet still incredibly comfortable for all the ice cream I eat. I added patch back pockets the next day with some unused quilt blocks I had sitting around.
