Sewing Level:Beginner
Fabric: a fabric with a bit of drape. I used a yarn dyed blue and white box design and a stitched cream poplin style fabric.
I made size and View (if applicable): Size 2 (see mods)
My mods:
Pattern mods: I'm definitely not a size 2! But I brought in the fullness of this top. Added 1" in length, Minus 1.5" each side at the armhole and decreased armhole depth by 2". Added slope to the shoulder by dropping it about 1.25" at the armhole edge. ( A lot of mods but all unnecessary-just a preference).
Sewing mods: For the blue top: I added interfacing to the hem to prevent washing machine wrinkles (it worked!), I bias finished the neckline with double fold straddling the edge so it shows on the outside, I cut the sleeve cuff on the bias for visual interest so I added interfacing to the sleeve cuff and should have only added it to one half (my mistake). For the cream top:I did all of the above except I made a stitched down facing for the neckline and I omitted the interfacing on the bottom hem. *All of this is explained in the video*
Description: Short sleeve crop top with bias finished neckline. Finished with sleeve cuffs and wide hems.

Notes:I really really love this top and I'd like to make 10 more! Next time I'd probably curve the sleeve cuff to make it less squared. I'd also modify it to a few different styles like a V- neck or a color blocked style just so they didn't all look like the same shirt :)
