Sewing Level: Intermediate
Fabric: Wovens with drape or a linen or linen blend. You can go with a nice crisp version or a drapey one. I opted for a combination by using a woven on the bias.
I made size and View (if applicable): Size 14, Option 2 (and see mods) with overlapped skirt sides, pockets and V Neck.
My mods: I made this as a Dress with Cuffed Short Sleeves (both are pattern tutorials on the Grainline Studio website and I follow it in the Cutting video).For the dress version I added 2" to the skirt side seams (parallel) for modesty sake (or I'd have a slit up to my hips :) and I stitched the slit down all but about 6" so it wouldn't flap open. After making a muslin I decided to lower the dart by one inch, I also lowered the armhole on the bodice by 3/4" (I adjusted the sleeve for this change) and I cut out a 14 instead of size 12. I cut the dress on the bias.

Notes: Subtle style lines for a utilitarian yet feminine dress. The front pockets add a great detail as well as the lapped side seam which doubles as a side vent. I love the look of this dress and hadn't seen it in a print or floral yet. And I do think the solid suits the details of this dress very well. I still get some pooling in my lower back- partly because of my shape, partly because the bias is probably a bit too relaxed there, and partly because so many pattern lack shaping in the back. I studied the hashtags and thought I'd be fine and it's pretty good but I'd like more shaping there. Note that because I extended the sides seams for modesty they encroach in to the pocket region but I addressed this in the second video and it all worked out! There's
